Exhibitor and product search
The full-text search enables you to find all exhibitors and products at Techtextil using names and descriptive texts. Hits are shown clearly with logo and stand number. Clicking on the exhibitor’s name produces a variety of information including contact details, a complete description of the company and a list of products. The latter also include descriptions and photos and provide a good overview of the portfolio of the event and its exhibitors. Additionally, the position of the exhibitor at the Exhibition Centre can be shown with a simple click.

Buddyfinder
On the mobile internet, the word ‘buddy’ is frequently used to describe online acquaintanceships. In the Techtextil app, the Buddyfinder can be used to create a network of friends, colleagues, exhibitors and customers with whom you want to keep in touch with during the fair. Particularly interesting is the option to show the network - your ‘buddies’ - exactly where you are at any time. All you have to do is click on a button, which calls up the current GPS position and shows it on the hall plans of buddies who are online. This makes it easier to coordinate your activities and, for example, point out a restaurant at the Exhibition Centre where it would be easy to meet.

• Use of the Messe Frankfurt MyAccount (every purchaser of an online ticket has one – simple registration with e-mail address and password, which can also be entered straight into the app)
• Inquiries to other users via name search and confirmation
• Indication of whether a ‘buddy’ is at the fair by red and green icons (voluntary)
• Indication of the position of the ‘buddy’ at the fair (shows the last position broadcast, real-time tracking is not possible)
  

News
Thanks to news and Twitter, you can be sure of always being well informed about developments at Techtextil. You can read all the latest press releases and social-media news from Twitter without the need to change any settings.

Exhibition Centre / hall plan – exhibitor search
The Exhibition Centre / hall plan offers an overview of the entire Exhibition Centre in plan view. The scale can be enlarged or reduced as required by simply moving fingers over the touchscreen. A click on an exhibition hall is all it takes to select a floor, which then shows all stands there. Another click on an exhibition stand shows the exhibitor by name with logo and stand number. In another step, this exhibitor information can be opened in the exhibitor search system where you will then find the company’s contact details and products. Because the two are closely linked, it is quick and easy to switch between exhibitor search and hall plan.
You can also use GPS to show where you are at the Exhibition Centre and thus check at a glance whether you are in the right hall and the direction of your next appointment.

The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Android Market.
The app is free of charge.
The app will be up-dated with new features and to eliminate bugs at irregular intervals.
